FAQs about Jewelry

 

What makes Stimtastic's chewable jewelry safe? 

All of the jewelry that is described as chewable or chewy is made of a tasteless, odorless, FDA-compliant food grade silicone. It is nontoxic and has been certified as BPA, PVC, lead, heavy metal, latex, and phthalate free. Like all of the products sold by Stimtastic, chewable jewelry is not recommended for children 3 and under and should be used by older children only with proper adult supervision. 

What kind of chewable is best for me? 

Chewables come in a wide variety of shapes, sizes and densities. If you need assistance in finding the right type of chewable, check out the What Kind of Chewer are You? guide. 

My skin is sensitive to certain materials. How can I know if a product is safe for me?

We do our best to choose materials for our jewelry that are hypoallergenic, like silicone and stainless steel. If you have an allergy or sensitivity, please check the Details section of an item's product page for more information about potential allergens like nickel. You can also contact us with specific questions about a product.  

How can I care for my chewable jewelry? 

Although silicone naturally resists the growth of bacteria, we recommend that you clean your chewable jewelry items regularly using one of the following methods: 

  1. Silicone pendants, bangles and beads are dishwasher safe. We recommend removing any cords and washing them separately in warm soapy water. 
  2. You can hand-wash silicone pendants, bangles and beads in warm soapy water.
  3. If you are senstive to the smell or taste of soap or dishwashing detergents, you can boil your silicone pendants, bangles or beads in water for 2-3 minutes. After boiling, handle with care and allow the silicone pieces to cool completely before using them. They will be very hot for quite a while after boiling.

After washing your silicone jewelry, be sure to let it dry completely or dry it with a soft clean cloth. Store it in a cool, dry place when not in use. It's a good idea to wrap each silicone piece in a soft cloth when storing and avoid storing two pieces in contact with each other. 

Note: Silicone is durable and easy to clean, however there are some materials that will degrade or shorten the life of your silicone jewelry. Avoid exposing silicone jewelry to extreme cold, prolonged direct sunlight and oil- or silicone-based products.

FAQs about Ordering

 

How do I change quantities or cancel an item in my order?

Changes to an order can usually be made the same day the order is placed. If you need to make a change to the items in your order, please Contact Us.

Can you accommodate special requests?

Do you need something done a little differently for your order? We can do things like not include an invoice in a gift order or include a short note from you to your gift recipient instead. We can also put a discreet return address (like "fulfillment center" instead of "Stimtastic") on your package if you need added privacy. If you have a special request, you can contact us before placing your order or put a note in the comments section when ordering. We'll do our best to accommodate you and will be sure to get in touch with you if we aren't able to.

What is your return policy? 

We want you to be happy with your order. If you need to return or exchange an item, just let us know within 30 days of your purchase. Items returned in saleable condition are fully refundable, however shipping costs are nonrefundable.  

What should I do if there was an error with my order? 

We do our best to accurately process all orders, but sometimes accidents happen. If there was an error in packing your order, please contact us and we will make it right. Be sure to include your order number and a description of the problem (i.e. wrong item, missing item, damaged item) so we can get started on correcting the problem right away.

What kinds of payment do you accept? 

We accept payment by credit and debit cards on our website. If you would like to pay by Paypal, we are happy to send you a payment request. Please use the Paypal payment request form and we'll send you a Paypal payment request so that you can securely complete your order. (Our shopping cart is not currently integrated with Paypal.)

Do you offer bulk discounts?

Yes, we offer a bulk discounts on orders of $250 or more. Please use the contact form to request more information if you would like to place a bulk order.

Do you accept purchase orders? 

Yes, we accept purchase orders from recognized institutions. Please contact us to set up an account. 

Is there tax on my order?

Within the United States, we collect 6.25% sales tax on orders shipped within Massachusetts only. Outside the US, buyers are responsible for any applicable taxes or customs duties for their respective countries. However, because the items we sell are generally small and inexpensive, most international orders arrive duty-free.  If you are unsure of whether you may incur a duty on your order, please check with your country's customs or import taxation office.

Is my information safe? 

We follow industry-standard security practices to ensure that your credit card and other personal information is safe and secure. Your payment information is encrypted during the checkout process and your credit card number is never stored on our servers or in our offices. We will never sell or share your personal information to third parties for marketing or advertising. For more details, please see our Privacy Policy.
