Replacing or Shortening your Chewable Pendant Cord

Replacing the Cord on Pendants with Front Facing Openings

As part of our chewable jewelry care instructions, we recommend regularly cleaning your chewable pendants.

Many people prefer to do this by taking their pendant off the cord to boil it or run it through the dishwasher. If you have a pendant with a front facing opening, replacing the cord after cleaning can be a bit tricky at first.

To help, we've made a video tutorial showing how to knot the cord in the same way it was knotted when you received your necklace:

Shortening the Cord on a Chewable Pendant

Is the cord for your chewable too long? The tutorial video below shows 3 ways to shorten the cords of Stimtastic chewable jewelry necklaces: discarding the clasp to use a simple knot, a shorter cord using the clasp, and an adjustable surfer choke.

If you need to remove the clasp to take your pendant off the cord for cleaning, this video also demonstrates removing and reattaching the clasps.
